Here are some information systems that I use mostly on a daily basis
ATM- I use this system to withdraw money where a bank card
is the input system, and the output being the money I had requested from the
machine.
Laptop- I use my laptop on a daily basis to connect to the
internet and to access my module slides, type out school assignments and do
online tests or anything school related.
Smartphone- my smartphone is honestly my daily bread, because
I use it every single day of my life as it connects me to everything and I use
it to communicate most of the time. My family is back in the Eastern Cape;
therefore I can use my phone to skype with them as well as my friends. I am
able to connect to my social media pages as well as run my foundation’s pages
as well and website from it.
Turnstile- I live at Hector Peterson residence, one of the
university’s residences and there is a turnstile that is used to enter the
residence. My student card is used as the input device which enables the
turnstile to rotate me inside the residence. I swipe my student card, which has
all my details on the school’s system, which therefore gives me access to my
residence only as I am only registered there and no other residence.
Coin public telephone – There is a Telkom public phone in my
residence, whenever I want to call my family in the rural areas, I use it as it
is much better than using my phone, because we experience network difficulties
all the time.
Calculator – I use my Casio scientific calculator every day
at school to make my life easier, it is faster than calculating things in my
head, as well as I can solve most numeric calculations from it.
Washing machine and dryer – I often use the laundry room at
my residence almost every week to was my clothes and dry them. It takes up less
time that hand washing my clothes and letting them air dry on a washing line
outside. I can spend a maximum of 2 hours to wash my clothes and dry them, and
then I would be done for the day.
